Honest comparison — DIY vs hiring vs a done-for-you video studio

The honest comparison

Three ways to keep a business visible online — and when each one is actually the right call. No hype, no rival names, no invented numbers.

Do it yourself
Right when…
  • You've got real time each week — filming, editing, writing captions, and posting every day is a part-time job on its own.
  • You enjoy the craft and want to learn it.
  • You're testing whether short-form is worth it before spending on it.
  • Honest trade-off: it's free but slow, and it stalls the week you get busy — which is exactly when consistency matters most.
Hire a person
Right when…
  • You want one specific person and can manage them.
  • You have steady work to keep an editor or a videographer busy.
  • Honest trade-off: a single hire is one skill — an editor isn't a strategist isn't a videographer — and they take vacations, get sick, and cost far more than a plan once you add it up. Coverage stops when they do.
A done-for-you video studio (us)
Right when…
  • You want it handled — produced, posted on cadence, and measured — without managing anyone.
  • You want the content and the page it drives to — a hosted landing page we build — handled in one place.
  • You value it being run the same every day, whether or not anyone's on vacation.
  • Honest trade-off: it's a monthly cost, and we predict no specific results — what you can hold us to is the cadence, the quality, and your approval on every post.

Straight answers

Isn't hiring an agency or your own person better?
It honestly depends on your situation — that's why the three columns above exist. A dedicated hire is great when you have steady work to keep them busy and the time to manage them; a platform wins when you want it handled, run the same every day, without managing anyone. Neither is 'right' in the abstract — pick the one that matches how you actually work.
Do I own my content and my audience?
Yes. Your channels, your videos, your audience, and your customer list are all yours. We build the asset and operate it for you; you keep it. If you ever leave, you take everything with you.
Can I cancel?
Your first 90 days are one agreement, so that window is a commitment on both sides — and if you don't like it inside it, we refund you. After 90 days it's month to month: cancel any time from your dashboard, keep access through the month you've already paid for, and keep every video we made. You keep access through the month you've already paid for, then your account pauses. We send you a link to download your reels and keep everything for at least 90 days.
What can you actually commit to?
The cadence, the quality, and your approval on every post before it goes out. What we never claim is a specific number of customers, views, or leads — no one can predict that honestly, and we won't pretend to.
What's the real difference between the plans?
The Channel is everything we do, in one price: reels made and posted for you, premium editing styles, auto-posting if you choose it, your hosted landing page, and your monthly reel regenerations. Private is by application — it adds premium production, a senior strategist, and more platforms connected for you as part of the engagement.
